K-Swiss was founded in 1966 by two Swiss brothers - Art and Ernie Brunner. The goal was to create a footwear brand focusing mainly on tennis, which was their passion. When designing their first sneakers, brothers drew inspiration from tennis and ... skiing.
The brand experienced great growth in the 1990s, when the marketing budget was significantly increased and specialists from other large companies such as Procter and Gamble were hired. It didn't take long to see the results - in 1993, the K-Swiss SI-18 International tennis shoe was named the best shoe of the year by Footwear News. The company is known for its creative approach to marketing activities. A perfect example is the collaboration with popular TV series Breaking Bad or campaigns with entrepreneurs - Karen Civil, Ben Baller and Natalie Ellis.
K-Swiss was, or still is, associated with well-known tennis court figures. We are talking about such surnames as:
• Anna Kurnikowa• Gael Monfils• Fabio Fognini• Cameron Norrie• Julija Putincewa• Ludmiła Samsonowa
